Sprint Mobile Internet

Sprint ( Boost Mobile – Virgin Mobile ) is a struggling USA Mobile Carrier with their own fiber optic backbone presence in the USA. They offer Business Mobility, Voice & Collaboration, Networking, Security and Internet of Things services. These Services range from the consumer level all the way up to enterprise customers. Their brand far exceeds providing wireless services to consumers.

Benefits of “Team Yellow”

  • Can get Plan Directly.
  • Can get Device Directly.
  • Can buy more high speed Data.
  • Great 5G connection quality.
  • Great 4G connection quality.
  • Can find 3rd party Unlimited Plans.
  • Generous Hotspot Data Use Allocations (50GB & 100GB respectively).
  • Can use Smartphone as Mobile Internet Hotspot.
  • Typically does not have capacity issues due to lack of customer density.

Disadvantages of “Team Yellow”

  • Still using CDMA & CDMAS like systems requiring specific devices branded to and for use on Sprints network.
  • VERY Limited Service Area (When outside of metro areas Sprint often lacks native coverage)
  • Extensive use of roaming agreements with other carriers with better footprints. (You will often be the victim of deprioritization in this case and will see a huge speed disadvantage and quality will suffer.)
  • Sprint relies heavily on T-Mobile’s towers when their customers are outside their native service areas. At this time T-Mobile has major capacity problems in most markets I have tested.
